A Little More About Me
My name is Gitu and I have been teaching yoga since 2013 when I started within the community and also in health centres. Having always worked primarily within public services, I have had the opportunity to help those who are disadvantaged or would otherwise not have the resources to access yoga and yoga therapy. I brought yoga and mindfulness into the school where I worked as a way to improve staff and student wellbeing. I then specialised by studying therapeutic yoga for back care, pregnancy yoga and then a longer course in India for therapeutic yoga and Ayurveda. After benefiting from yoga therapy myself, I undertook a 350hr Yoga Therapy for children and young people course which I successfully completed in 2020.
